In recent years of the NBA, there have been plenty of lopsided trades that fans could see through, and ultimately wondered why a relatively even swap was not made. The New York Knicks have received their share of criticism through the transaction of Mikal Bridges, and of course, Dallas Mavericks' Nico Harrison is still hearing loud opinions for sending Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Surprisingly enough, both trades may have been heavily criticized, but they are not the worst in league history. That title has been given to the LA Clippers, and it will stay put until years have passed and Doncic accomplishes the greatness he was destined to from the start.

Furthermore, the aftermath of a trade essentially determines the winner, and the Clippers were clearly the losers of what they sent to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Paul George.

Everything backfired on the Clippers, and with what has happened towards the end of this offseason, LA should have never expressed any attention towards Kawhi Leonard in 2019, which has become the worst move in NBA history.

The LA Clippers' franchise has been crushed by the signing of Kawhi Leonard

The LA Clippers were not wrong for having Kawhi Leonard as their dream signing. In fact, this is where all of their attention should have been, as Leonard had a championship run in 2019 that will be difficult to forget.

However, the Clippers were wrong for listening to Leonard and not considering the potential outcome. They got happy feet, knowing the two-time champion was interested in signing, and gave basically all of their draft picks to land Paul George.

Unfortunately, Clipper Nation experienced momentary happiness, as Leonard proceeded to be injured in the following years after a blown 3-1 lead to the Denver Nuggets.

The Clippers' acquisition of Leonard in 2019 only earned more criticism after LA lost to the Denver Nuggets this past season. He was great, but another year gone without a trip to the NBA Finals makes fans wonder if Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had just been kept in 2019.

Now, the NBA community is familiarizing itself with the fact that the Clippers may wish their superstar signed to the Los Angeles Lakers or Toronto Raptors, due to the scandal he is in.

All things considered, Leonard signing the dotted line with LA is currently the worst move of all time, and it may stay that way until another team takes their spot with an outrageous trade, or when Doncic wins a ring with the Lakers before the Dallas Mavericks.
