On ‘The Hoop Collective,’ Brian Windhorst of ‘NBA on ESPN’ mentioned that he believes Kawhi Leonard’s best moments as a member of the LA Clippers were in his matchup versus ‘Team World’ where he dropped 31 points in 12 minutes, and the 45 points he scored in an elimination contest against the Dallas Mavericks in 2021. However, fans of the Clippers will argue strongly, as Windhorst forgot about a number of other memorable performances.

Windhorst got it partially right by singling out the time he almost dropped 50 in the playoffs, but Leonard’s career-high night earlier this season, the 2020 All-Star game, where he actually took home the MVP with 30 points and eight three-pointers, and even the first triple-double of his career in a win against the Miami Heat, triumph over the 2026 All-Star game.

And, in all honesty, when glancing at Leonard’s entire tenure in LA, there are just too many mind-boggling stat lines the two-time champion has recorded to narrow down one or two, like Windhorst did.

Kawhi Leonard has more in store for fans of the LA Clippers

At 34 years old, in his sixth active season with the LA Clippers, Kawhi Leonard is far from done giving fans nights that will be revisited with awe. It is inevitable; at his current level, all Leonard needs is to find a quick rhythm, and eventually it will be difficult to keep track of his points.

In fact, Leonard is currently averaging a career-high 27.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists, shooting 49.1% from the field and 38.3% from beyond the arc.

Moreover, the playoffs, which are Leonard’s favorite time of the year, are coming up. Are the Clippers guaranteed to make it? Not at the moment, given they stand as the ninth seed.

But, with his back against the wall, season on the line, and pressure at its highest, it is when Leonard picks and chooses to pop off on both ends of the court. It is even more likely this year, as the front office traded ball-dominant superstar James Harden.

That said, with a generational talent like Leonard, who has built a Hall of Fame career and will leave the Clippers as a franchise legend, pinpointing his top performances is impossible. Brian Windhorst tried, yet failed miserably, as LA fans know he overlooked several others before making his opinion loud and clear.
