The LA Clippers decline this proposal in a heartbeat.

In the event the LA Clippers are ready to move on from Paul George, they will be expecting a rising young star and draft picks in return. While this proposal does just that, there is better available for one of the best two-way stars in the NBA.

To kick things off, De’Andre Hunter has been underwhelming since he was drafted in 2019. He has not improved his game at all, and he is on a long-term contract until the 2027 off-season. This means that if he does get traded to LA, they will be in a questionable position, depending on his performance.

Along with Hunter is Bogdan Bogdanović, who was also recently extended until the 2027 offseason with a team option in 2026. However, Bogdanović can become a solid contributor off the bench with his three-point shooting and unique finishing abilities. There is no doubt he would shine in LA, despite being nearly 31 years of age.

Lastly, the LA Clippers will receive Kobe Bufkin, a collegiate superstar from the University of Michigan. Bufkin is the most appealing of all three players in this trade due to his age and talent. In addition, the draft pick the Clippers receive in this trade could be good or bad based on where the Hawks finish next season.

Moreover, instead of Bogdanović and Hunter, the Clippers’ front office should request players like Jalen Johnson and Onyeka Okongwu. At that point, this would be a fair trade package for both sides. Currently, this proposal looks pretty one-sided in favor of the Hawks.
