2. Terance Mann
Terance Mann had a very interesting season last year for the LA Clippers. He has proven his value time and time again, but for some reason, he would not receive the minutes he deserved. This could have been one of the reasons why the Clippers finished with the fifth seed, as head coach Tyronn Lue would not include Mann in the closing lineups.
Furthermore, this led fans to believe that the Clippers would include Mann in a blockbuster trade. It would have made perfect sense since the front office has shown interest in stars such as Damian Lillard, Zach LaVine, and James Harden.
Now, reports have been released that the LA Clippers are refusing to include Mann in any trade package. This essentially means he is due for a more prominent role next season. There should be no reason he isn’t playing at least 30 minutes per contest.
Moreover, Mann averaged 8.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists last season while shooting 51.9% from the field and 38.9% from a distance. What’s more, he did all of this while playing slightly above 23 minutes per game.
Additionally, in the 17 games where Mann played over 30 minutes, he averaged nearly 16 points. This shows how valuable he can be, despite coming off the bench in a limited role. Not to mention he is one of the best perimeter defenders the Clippers have on their roster.
That said, Mann’s increased role next season is definitely something to watch for. He has developed each aspect of his game and could make the all-star leap for the LA Clippers.
