Although the LA Clippers have one of the best superstar duos in the NBA, they have countless players that do not receive enough attention. In fact, these are the guys that carry the team on their back when a key player is forced to miss time.
Moreover, the LA Clippers had too many wings on their roster last season. This put head coach Tyronn Lue in a challenging position on how many minutes each player should receive. At times, it seemed as if the rotation was perfect. But the Clippers lost multiple winnable games due to certain players not playing enough.
While the front office cleared some space on their bench, there are still question marks on which players should see the most time on the court.
3. Kenyon Martin Jr.
One of the most underrated moves of the NBA offseason has been the LA Clippers trading for Kenyon Martin Jr. His ferocious inside game is something Tyronn Lue has never had since he was promoted as the team’s head coach.
Furthermore, Martin Jr. is coming off the best season of his career. He posted career highs in nearly every category and did not miss a single game in 2022-23. Now, he is on a championship-contending team and could make a substantial impact off the bench.
However, his playing time should be watched closely by fans. With Nicolas Batum in the starting five, it will be interesting to see how many minutes he receives off the bench. There is also a chance that he climbs his way up due to how dominant he can be.
