1 just the right package for Embiid

Although the LA Clippers may not have many first-round draft picks to trade, they do have enough star power to exchange with the 76ers for Joel Embiid. This gives head coach Tyronn Lue a generational center who is on a tier of his own when he is in full health.

Moreover, an NBA insider, Sean Deveney, recently reported that the 76ers might consider doing a superstar swap for Kawhi Leonard. This makes perfect sense for both teams, as LA and Philly are receiving a level of talent that is unmatched around the NBA. Both of these stars can lead a team to the NBA Finals.

Regarding the Clippers, they will have Embiid to pair with Paul George, Russell Westbrook, and Norman Powell. This is a scary sight for any league opponent, assuming each player can stay healthy. Not to mention the front office will likely be aggressive in the offseason when it comes to adding more firepower and upgrading at multiple positions.

Additionally, bringing Embiid to the Clippers would make more free agents want to join LA as one of the biggest markets in the league. This is a brilliant business strategy, as the Intuit Dome is set to open within the next few seasons.

That said, this trade is as even as it gets for both teams. Philly will have the best two-way player in the world with championship experience. At the same time, LA forms a superteam to compete with any opponent in the Western Conference. From a broad perspective, this is a win-win for both parties.
