1. Lonnie Walker

Lonnie Walker should be, without a doubt, one of the top free-agent targets for the LA Clippers. Given the right situation, he is still extremely young with the potential to rise to stardom. Fortunately for Walker, his home is within walking distance.

That said, Walker is set to become a free agent this offseason. Additionally, the Lakers may not pursue a future with him as he was benched throughout the 2023 playoffs. Not only did this decrease his market value, it also placed a chip on his shoulder to prove his doubters wrong.

This is key for the LA Clippers as they could sign him to a two-year deal with a chance to earn more money in the years after. However, there is a good chance he could do so, as he has all the tangibles of a future all-star.

Furthermore, standing at 6’4”, Walker is a freak athlete who can score at all three levels. He can also hold his ground on defense, which will ultimately hold his spot in the Clippers’ rotation. He is in the ideal scenario to shine, especially next to a talent like Russell Westbrook.

Another reason the LA Clippers will pursue Walker is due to the future. While Kawhi Leonard and Paul George may have the franchise in title contention, they are clearly not the answer for the next decade. With that, the front office has to prioritize the team’s age during the offseason, as it will become imperative within the next few seasons.
