Although the LA Clippers have the perfect mix of role players and star power, the front office should always prioritize the franchise’s future. There is a time limit on how many years Kawhi Leonard and Paul George have left, which ultimately leaves the players such as Terance Mann and Bones Hyland with the keys to the rebuild.

Though Hyland and Mann are a phenomenal start, they cannot handle the pressure of the future by themselves. This means the front office must start searching for another young star around the league.

While many options are available, the Warriors’ former seventh overall pick, Jonathan Kuminga, is the perfect beginning to a rebuild that may last several years. In return, the Clippers won’t have to trade much away as Golden State is still hunting for another championship.

Jonathan Kuminga on the LA Clippers is a match made in heaven.

If Russell Westbrook joins the LA Clippers for another season, Jonathan Kuminga would be perfect in the starting lineup. Aside from his ridiculous athleticism, Kuminga is a phenomenal defender with great touch around the rim.

Throughout the 2022-23 season, Kuminga averaged 9.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists while shooting 52.5% from the field and 37.0 % from three. What’s crazy is that the former NBA champion did all this within 21 minutes per contest.

Conversely, the LA Clippers will likely have to trade Robert Covington. This is perfect for Golden State as they are looking to fight for a title, and Covington is one of the best role players in the NBA.
