Outside of a notable win streak, one of the hottest stories for the LA Clippers has been Paul George’s new show, Podcast P, Presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment. The co-hosts, Dallas Rutherford and Jackie Long assist George with an inside look at his professional career and the many profound stories he has been waiting to share.

However, a segment in the most recent episode dives into how the Clippers’ plane was struck by lightning. Fortunately, nobody on the aircraft was hurt, and each player and coaching staff member landed safely in Denver.

In fact, approximately one year ago, Utah Jazz shooting guard Jordan Clarkson shared a similar experience after the team plane encountered a flock of birds mid-flight. These types of situations can be terrifying, but the good news is everyone landed safely.

What were the details of this incident from Paul George and the LA Clippers?

On the latest episode of the Podcast P Show, Paul George recalls how the plane was hit by lightning and how it felt as if the aircraft had shut off at one point. George describes this experience as a free fall on a roller coaster and how the plane dropped multiple times during the flight.

Though this may be a story to remember, he has had similar experiences during his time with the Oklahoma City Thunder. George adds that a bird collided with the nose of the plane, causing a loud noise and ultimately disrupting the peace of everyone on the plane.

Moreover, the most critical detail is that everyone was out of harm’s way and in good hands by the pilots of these aircraft. On the flip side, this experience will likely be discussed for the foreseeable future.
