Although he had a slow start to the year, the two-way wing, Norman Powell, has been dominating for the LA Clippers. His underrated play-making abilities and his scoring give head coach Tyronn Lue another star to incorporate into the game plan. Especially as of late, Powell has proven himself to be the third option the Clippers have been missing.

That said, much of Powell’s scoring comes from the catch-and-shoot or around the rim. His explosiveness allows him to get to his spots quickly and give any opponent a nightmare on all three levels. Even through the mid-range, Powell has displayed a smooth jumper mixed with a consistent floater.

Throughout the match-up with the Knicks, Powell played a phenomenal game. However, in the middle of the fourth quarter, he received a technical foul for arguing his call against the referees. This ignited a fire for Powell, as he later rose for one of the best possessions of the season.

In the final frame from the battle between the Clippers and Knicks, Powell used his quick first step to swoop by two defenders and stuff a ferocious dunk over the star forward, Julius Randle. This dunk will quickly become some of the best highlights fans have witnessed all season.

Moreover, this play ultimately shifted the momentum for the LA Clippers in a crunch-time match-up. Additionally, the fans needed a game changer as the Clippers had let their lead slip away, handing New York plenty of opportunities to build a lengthy run.
