2. Marcus Morris Sr.
While trade speculation may be rising, Marcus Morris Sr. has been an elite scorer all year for the LA Clippers. His strong mid-range go with his top-of-the-line three-point shooting has helped the team prosper in various ways.
Regarding fantasy, Morris’ rebounding adds to his premier scoring abilities. As these categories add up, he has a very high value, especially for someone in the waivers. Additionally, with the Clippers being flooded with injuries, Morris has the best opportunity to rack up more points.
Moreover, according to ESPN’s fantasy sports, Morris’ roster percentage currently stands at a shocking 19.1. With the way he has been dominating lately, there should be no reason why this number is meager. Rightfully so, he should be at the top of the pickups.
Furthermore, Morris is posting 12.9 points and 3.8 rebounds through his last ten games. Something to note is that he plays close to 30 minutes each night. Volume is a significant factor in the waiver wire, and Morris plays more than enough to sit within this list.
Another factor to keep in mind is health concerns. This does not appear to be an issue with Morris, as he has played 41 of the Clippers’ 45 games thus far. He is clearly in great shape and will likely be able to consistently contribute with the season moving forward.
That said, Morris checks off each box of a high-value waiver-wire pickup. From availability to talent to volume, the veteran forward brings it all. He should be snatched off the waivers without hesitation, as the Clippers have recently passed their season’s halfway point.
