Is Paul George Playing tonight? Latest injury update for Clippers vs. 76ers, January 17th
By Josh Hill
Despite having one of the best rosters in the NBA on paper, the Los Angeles Clippers have never seemed to stay healthy long enough to realize their potential.
The duo of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard have only played 95 games together, which has forced the Clippers to live more in the shadows than fans would probably like. While Kawhi is healthy, George has once again found himself on the injury report with a hamstring injury.
George has missed five games with that hamstring injury, and it comes at a brutal time for the Clippers to be without one of their top stars.
Paul George injury status for tonight’s game against 76ers
Los Angeles comes into its showdown against the 76ers having only won three of their last ten games and is 2-3 in this current stretch without George in the lineup.
There’s potentially good news, though. George was seen practicing on Monday and his status for Tuesday night’s game against the Sixers was officially listed as questionable.
Paul George injury history
George is a handful of years removed from his most notable injury when he pretty gruesomely broke his leg in a Team USA scrimmage back in 2014. Somehow George hasn’t been affected by the injury since but hasn’t been able to avoid the injury report for a variety of different reasons.
Just this season alone, George has showed up on the injury report or missed games due to a hand injury, a knee injury, and a non-COVID illness, in addition to this current hamstring injury.
When is Paul George coming back?
The good news is that George is questionable for Tuesday night’s game against the 76ers, which means he’s probably close to coming back. The fact that he was able to practice also bodes well to his return to the lineup soon, even if it doesn’t happen against Philly.
