With franchise centerpiece Kawhi Leonard ruled out, the LA Clippers would have to find a way to take down a dominant Miami Heat squad. The last few games have displayed quite the frustration as head coach Tyronn Lue needs to utilize the right players at the right time. This is the main reason the Clippers are on a three-game losing streak.

Furthermore, two-way superstar Paul George had to shine once again for his team to have a chance. This is not the ideal scenario for the Clippers, as injuries have been an issue all year. However, Lue and his squad needed a win.

That said, George showed up on both ends with 25 points, seven assists, three rebounds, and three steals. Despite the loss at home, his contributions were pivotal, especially in the second-half.

Although George played his role, there were minimal contributions from the rest of the roster. This has to be the most significant sign for the front office to make a trade. A team with a near .500 record will likely miss their window in the playoffs. Without a quality point guard, the LA Clippers will remain in the same boat.

The LA Clippers continue to lose winnable match-ups.

Outside of a weak overall strategy, the LA Clippers are losing battles due to careless mistakes. Five turnovers from George and poor decision-making from the play-making point guard John Wall led to a ten-point loss.

Though they were down big, the LA Clippers sparked a comeback before giving it up. Players like Wall must perform better in terms of their role on the team. As Lue needs a quality point guard, it would be wise to give the former second-round pick, Jason Preston, an opportunity within the rotation.

Another constant issue has been the minutes of the slashing wing, Terance Mann. After being down big, Mann played a vital role in sparking a comeback against the Heat. Later, Lue subbed him out of the game. This move ultimately cost the Clippers the win.

While the Clippers must find a rhythm, their next match-up against the Denver Nuggets is crucial. The team will have to take strides on both ends of the floor to compete with the talents of the reigning MVP. George, Leonard, and several others must be active in any way possible in order to coerce a victory.
