Mann’s impact is the deciding factor for the LA Clippers

After being drafted in the second round, the two-way wing Terance Mann has taken a significant leap for the LA Clippers. Despite his limited opportunity in his rookie season, Mann waited until his number was called and did not disappoint. One thing led to another, and now he is one of the team’s most valuable players.

That said, Mann’s value primarily comes from his energy on both sides of the ball. Whether that is knocking down a big shot or getting a stop on defense, Mann can do it all. Not to mention he can play any position on the court. There have been times in the past when Mann has played center, giving the Clippers another reliable option to consider against certain opponents.

Moreover, Mann has been one of the Clippers’ best players this season. As head coach Tyronn Lue has been battling injuries all year, Mann has stepped up, giving the team a more substantial chance to win games. It is fair to say that without Mann, the LA Clippers would not have a record of 16-13.

One of the reasons why Mann is highly effective is his ability to move off the ball. Several of his baskets come from losing his defender and cutting to the rim. In addition, Mann is ridiculously athletic. He uses this to his advantage as play-makers such as John Wall and Reggie Jackson locate him at the perfect time, leading to an easy bucket.

Mann is widely considered the LA Clippers’ most underrated player.

On both ends of the court, Terance Mann continues to prove his value towards the LA Clippers’ championship aspirations. Mann ignites a spark each time he steps on the floor, motivating his teammates to play as hard as they can. This is precisely what the Clippers need, as the shooting and ball movement tend to become stagnant.

Furthermore, Mann’s numbers have improved each year since entering the league. At first glance, his stats look better throughout the 2021-22 NBA season. However, his minute share has dropped by 7.2, proving how valuable he can be with minimal playing time.

So far this season, Mann is averaging 8.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists while shooting 54.1% from the field and 35.2% from three. Additionally, Mann has been posting 1.5 deflections per game which is phenomenal considering the amount of time he steps on the court.

Moving forward, Lue must find any way possible to increase Mann’s minutes. His impact on all aspects of the game is irreplaceable. Once the playoffs come around, Mann will show the rest of the world, once again, why he is one of the best players on a championship-contending roster.
