Jason Preston
The hard work that Jason Preston put in through the years had finally reaped its rewards. The highly touted guard beamed with pride once his name was called with the 33rd overall pick during the 2021 NBA Draft. Nonetheless, Preston’s NBA dreams were dashed away from him thanks to a brutal foot injury that would force him to miss his rookie season.
Known for his ability to do a little bit of everything, Preston should thrive in the Summer League. When last seen, Preston was essentially a walking triple-double in college. The fairly diminutive guard averaged 15.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 7.3 assists.
With the Clippers’ recent signing of John Wall, paired with current point guard Reggie Jackson, to go along with the never-ending Kyrie Irving rumor mill, Preston should be motivated to prove that not only is his injury woes behind him but more importantly, LA doesn’t need a gluttony of point guards with him on the roster.
