From the moment NBA free agency kicked off, the LA Clippers slowly and quietly surveyed the landscape. By and large, LA appeared unenthused as several of their contemporaries began swinging for the fences. Max contracts were being given out like candy and middling NBA players were switching teams like there was no tomorrow. The Clippers, on the other hand, focused their efforts on keeping their core intact.

First, LA re-signed the ever-improving Amir Coffey as the third-year guard averaged nine points per game this past season. Then, LA turned their attention to Nic Batum, re-signing the versatile swingman to a two-year, $22 million dollar deal.

On day two of free agency, LA appears to be taking the same approach. Already on their radar, is former five-time All-Star John Wall. But, even with his impending arrival, LA still has to shore up a few things. With a nearly flawless roster from top to bottom, who are a few players the Clippers should look to grab before it’s too late? They won’t be the most glamorous names out there but keep in mind that the Clippers don’t have a ton of cap space. Still, it won’t be needed as we can probably get these salient pieces for a low asking price.
