Ranking Moussa Diabate’s best college performances

For most of Moussa Diabate’s freshman season, his tenuous and bemusing play allowed opposing teams to sag off him from the perimeter and disregard his nightly post-ups.

The flippant nature in which he was ultimately treated, however, came back to haunt a deep Iowa team that had lofty goals. As the two squared off on February 17th, 2022, Diabate had grown tired of having his offensive game disregarded by the opposition.

On nearly every possession, the Michigan big man demanded the basketball. And while his teammates were reluctant at first, they continually fed their young big once they noticed that he had it going. Iowa defenders were left clueless on how to stop Diabate on this particular night, as he rolled to a 28-point evening, a career high.

To accentuate his performance on the court, Diabate’s field goal percentage was nearly flawless, as he connected on 80% of his overall shots. It was by far the best night of his young career, as he led the Wolverines to a five-point victory.
