1. Eric Gordon
LA Clippers stats: 18.1 ppg, 3.3 apg, 45.2 fg%
Desperate for a bit of offensive punch and stability at the guard position, the LA Clippers took Eric Gordon with the seventh overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft.
With little to no preparation, Gordon was thrust into the starting lineup and immediately delivered. The explosive first-year guard dropped 16.1 points per game on 45.6% from the field. Gordon’s offensive tool bag only grew as his time in LA lengthened. During his third season, Gordon registered his first 20 point per game season, dropping 22.3 points a night for a lethargic group of LA no-hopers.
Although Gordon quickly established himself as arguably LA’s best scorer, his long list of injuries saw his time in a Clippers uniform cut short as he was dealt following the 2010-11 season.
