Number three picks in any draft, regardless of whether they’re ballyhooed or not, are expected to yield franchise-altering results.

In the case of the LA Clippers, they were never quite able to land a generational talent when they were given said pick. Still, despite their bad luck, LA has gotten their hands on a number of talented players once they were handed the third selection in an NBA Draft. It hasn’t happened often, four times to be exact, but LA has been solid in their thinking and unrelenting in their scouting.

For this year’s star-studded class, LA would love nothing more than to be picking high in the draft. That, of course, won’t be happening as LA is saddled with the 43rd selection.

With the draft only a few weeks away, which player should be considered the best third overall pick in Clippers’ draft history?
