Remember when having a big three was seemingly the best and only path to winning an NBA title? The Boston Celtics in 2008 proved that having three legitimate star players was arguably the easiest way to championship status.

Of course, since then, numerous teams and players have followed suit. From LeBron James becoming essentially the poster boy for said process, putting together two separate big threes in both Cleveland and Miami, the NBA has finally gotten away from simply stacking the deck and wiping out the competition.

Now, NBA teams have shifted their attention and focused on dynamic duos. With almost every squad in the association sporting a pair of All-Star level players, which explosive duo should be viewed as the best in the Western Conference? Most importantly, where do the LA Clippers current duo stack up.

Length of time together won’t be held against any of these pairings on our list. Ultimately, we’ll be looking at the top four duos in the Western Conference and rank them accordingly. Now that the parameters are set, let’s dive right into it.
