DeAndre Jordan

Clipper stats: 9.4 ppg, 10.7 rpg, 1.7 bpg

At the age of 33, DeAndre Jordan lumbers up and down the court. No longer is he capable of soaring through the air and giving fans eye-popping highlights on a nightly basis. Also, Jordan’s ability to snatch balls above the rim and send opposing players shots into the 15th row is long gone.

Still, while Jordan is on his way out of the NBA, during his heyday, he was one of the more physically gifted big men in the entire league. In ten full seasons in LA, Jordan averaged 9.4 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks a night. The former 2008 second-round draft pick was a one-time All-Star, three-time All-NBA selection, two-time All-Defensive team member, and led the league in field goal percentage in five consecutive seasons.

Jordan was never the sort of big man that could hoist a team onto his shoulders and will them over the championship finish line. He was also inept on offense. Jordan made his bones on the defensive side of the ball and was considered the biggest lob threat in the entire NBA.

Jordan won’t be donning any Hall of Fame jackets when he hangs up his sneakers for good. It’s also incredibly unlikely that his jersey is retired in the Clippers’ rafters when it’s all said done. Still, Jordan was a terrific player for a decade. Most importantly, he was without a doubt, the best second-round pick in Clippers’ history.
