Clipper Stats: 12.8 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 3.8 apg, 1.1 bpg

Lamar Odom’s career came full circle. After dominating the high school scene in the late 1990s, Odom spent only one year in college before brazenly making the move to the next level.

Well before players such as LeBron James and Tracy McGrady built Hall of Fame resumes as point forwards, Odom was one of the earlier figures who handled the ball smoothly, despite standing at 6’10” and weighing roughly 220 pounds.

During his five seasons as a Clipper, Odom was effective everywhere on the court. He easily bullied smaller defenders in the paint, averaging 17.2 points in only his second year. In two of his five seasons as a Clipper, Odom dished out over five assists a game. He wasn’t the most hard-nosed rebounder but Odom was more than respectable, averaging seven boards a night.

Talent-wise, Odom was amongst the league’s best. However, seldom did it result in LA breaking through and making a postseason run.
