The LA Clippers had their fair share of ups and downs during the regular season. From being mired in long and arduous losing streaks to being forced to deal with the injury bug, the Clippers dealt with it all.

Yet, during the early portion of the season, it seemed as though the Clippers had enough pieces, even without Leonard, to make a serious run toward the top of the Western Conference food chain.

During the first quarter of the season, Lue led his troops to a seven game win streak, their longest of the year. Along the way, the Clippers took down some of the better teams in the league, including the Minnesota Timberwolves, Charlotte Hornets, and the Miami Heat.

The Clippers weren’t simply eking out close victories, rather, they were blowing out the competition, winning by an average margin of 12.5 points per game.

In the end, while a postseason berth may have eluded them, Lue did as good a job as anyone when it came to the X’s and O’s.
