Ranking Kawhi Leonard’s best playoff games as a Clipper
Date: 5/25/2021
Stats: 41 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals
As we take a peek at the boxscore that Kawhi Leonard produced during Game 2 of the first round in the 2021 NBA Playoffs, we have a hard time figuring out how exactly the Clippers ended up losing that game to the Dallas Mavericks. Regardless of the outcome, Leonard was the definition of impossible to guard.
After racking up 40 minutes on the floor, Leonard dropped roughly a point a minute, finishing the game with 41 buckets. Sure, we can point to his six rebounds, four assists, and two steals, but those numbers aren’t what grabbed our attention. Somehow, despite countless Dallas defenders being thrown in his direction, Leonard shot 66.7% from the field and 57.1% from the 3-point line.
If the Clippers found a way to close the show, we may have been forced to say that this was Leonard’s finest moment in a Clippers uniform.
