Paul George

2021 Regular season stats: 24.3 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 5.7 apg

No, we aren’t calling Paul George the best sidekick in the Western Conference just because he’s on our team but as we take a look at his numbers, he’s always thrived in those circumstances.

During the 2020 and 2021 seasons, playing second fiddle behind Kawhi Leonard, George averaged 21.5 and 23.3 points respectively. Also, during the 2018-19 season, playing as the second in command to Russell Westbrook in Oklahoma, George finished the season by averaging 28 points a game while finishing third in the MVP voting.

More than George’s ridiculous ability to drop 40 points on efficient shooting, it’s his defense that separates him from everyone else on this list. With George staying relatively healthy for most of his career and his two-way greatness, he’s the only sidekick on this list that can move effortlessly into a number one role and lead their team deep into the playoffs.
