It was one of the most perplexing mid-season trade moves this season when the LA Clippers shipped out Rajon Rondo for the underwhelming Eric Bledsoe, it didn’t exactly make a ton of sense or move the needle. Sure, Rondo wasn’t getting much playing time but Bledsoe has proven time and time again that he isn’t the sort of player that can contribute meaningfully to a championship ball club.

Granted, if the Clippers big guns fail to return this season, the Clippers won’t be in the championship mix anyways, still, Bledsoe should be shown the door.

Not only are the Clippers on the hook for a little over $18 million this year but Bledsoe is owed just over $19 million the following season as well. Meaning, his contract isn’t unmovable but the Clippers should be looking for cap relief.

Most importantly, if both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George remain on the sidelines and return next year, Bledsoe won’t have much of a role on this squad anyways. Get rid of him while you can.
