3 players the Clippers should target before the trade deadline: 1. Luguentz Dort

Full credit should be given to Luguentz Dort for turning himself into a player. Although he went undrafted in 2019, he’s not only carved himself into a solid hooper in the NBA but he’s the sort of player that championship teams fawn over.

Dort’s success starts with defense. At 6’3” and weighing 215 pounds, offensive players struggle to get around his huge frame. Not only is he good on the perimeter but backing Dort down in the paint is a tall order. The offensive side of the ball still needs a bit more work though.

Don’t be fooled by his 16.1 scoring average. With the Oklahoma City Thunder hungry for scorers, Dort has plenty of opportunities. Presently, he’s shooting 39.6% from the field and only 32.3% from distance.

Dort is a more than capable shooter but more importantly, he’s a 3 and D guy. With Dort, Paul George, and Kawhi Leonard – good luck getting any buckets on this trio.
