No. 1 greatest memory for LA Clippers in 2021: Lifting the curse

Heading into the 2021-2022 season for the LA Clippers, they had never yet made it to the Western Conference Finals. Despite having some great teams in the Lob City era, they never were able to make that jump into the Western Conference Finals.

When Leonard got hurt in the Conference Semis, many people claimed we had no shot. But thanks to elite coaching from our first-year head coach in Ty Lue, PG’s heroics, and key contributions from many different Clipper role players, the Clips overcame losing their franchise player.

And they did it in style, too. They didn’t even need the full seven-game series to beat the Jazz. They closed the series out by winning both games Kawhi wasn’t with us for, giving us the chance to lift the curse in our own Arena.

Look, the 2021-2022 season hasn’t started out perfectly. We very well may get Leonard back by the postseason, though, and last postseason proved to us that nobody ever knows what will truly happen once playoff time comes around. If we could break the curse last year without Klaw, who knows what we could potentially do this time around if he indeed is 100% ready for postseason time.
