No. 2 greatest memory for LA Clippers in 2021: The return of Playoff P
In recent years, Paul George has been subject to ridicule due to what has been seen by many as underachievement in the postseason for the LA Clippers and the other teams he’s played on.
Never will Clipper fans forget what PG showed in that Western Conference Semifinal series when Leonard went down with his ACL injury.
George silenced the doubters, going off in each game after Leonard was hurt, not needing the remaining three games to win the series. George went out and won back-to-back to close out the series in six, after we began the series tied at 2-2.
In Game 5, PG13 put up 37 points, 16 rebounds, five assists, a steal, and two blocks. It was a dominant performance for George, who was 12 of 22 from the field that game.
In Game 6, he played out of his mind as well, going 10 of 24 and two of five from three. He scored 28 points, grabbed nine rebounds, dropped seven dimes, recorded three steals, and blocked another shot. He was 16 of 18 from the stripe in those two games, and was truly sensational.
