In a recent interview one of the greatest LA Clippers of all time, Chris Paul, appeared to possibly take a shot at the Clippers fanbase.

While talking about how the current Phoenix Sun appreciates the Suns’ fanbase so much, he may have called Clipper Nation out:

Many are speculating as to whether this was a dig at the Clippers fanbase, as Paul is as much of a Clipper as he is of any team. He’s played six seasons in New Orleans, but he’s also played six with Clip City.

Chris Paul was either calling out LA Clippers fans, Rockets fans, Thunder fans, or Pelicans fans.

The reason it appears he very well might be referring to LA Clippers fans, however, is due to the reputation some LA fanbases have had for not getting to the games at their start times.

The Los Angeles Dodgers, for instance, have made headlines for fans not getting to the game for the first couple of innings, even when they end up packing Dodger Stadium by the end of the game.

The traffic in Los Angeles is so bad that it makes things difficult on the sports fans to get to games on time. Perhaps Paul realizes that and is just stating that this used to happen, but perhaps he doesn’t realize how difficult it can be to arrive during warm-ups or even at the tip.

Regardless, it was a little surprising to hear Paul, who has been very complimentary towards our fans in the past, perhaps call us out.
