The word on the street is that Kemba Walker is on the trade block, and the LA Clippers need to pay it no attention.

John Wall and Kemba. The point guards who are likely past their primes, with their teams trying to trade them. The Clippers haven’t shown any interest in Wall of course, but now the question will be about if they see potential in a Walker trade.

This would not be a smart idea for the Clippers.

No. 3 reason the LA Clippers should stay far away from a Kemba Walker trade: He’s playing some of his worst basketball

There’s no way to sugarcoat the fact that Kemba Walker is having arguably the worst year of his 11-year career. Why should the LA Clippers bother with that?

They have two point guards who they already like. Sure, Walker would give them depth, but are we sure that Walker is the right fit for Ty Lue’s system? Perhaps one could suggest that we don’t know that he definitely isn’t a fit for Lue, but we certainly don’t know that he is.

So therefore, let’s be smart and not just go blindly trading for players who are having the worst years of their careers just because we’re down a superstar. Walker has been a star in this league. As of this current moment, he is not.
