No. 1 exciting takeaway from the LA Clippers’ seven-game winning streak: The MVPG campaign is for real

Paul George has played out of his mind this season for the LA Clippers.

George is playing arguably the best basketball of his career, and he didn’t trip up at all in the win streak.

During the seven perfect games for the Clips, George averaged 25.6 points per game, 8 rebounds per game, 6.4 assists per game, and 1.6 steals per game. He shot 44% from the field, 37% from deep, and 90% from the stripe.

It doesn’t get much better than that, and the best part is of course that these games were all wins. Let’s face it: PG13 is going to be judged off of how many wins the Clips can get without Leonard in the mix.

Regardless of whether that’s fair or not, people want to see how good PG can be on his own. It’s been a while since he entered the season as a team’s No. 1 option.

So far, George has killed it, and answered those doubts. MVP voters have nothing left to do with PG other than include him in the thick of that MVP talk.

Kawhi Leonard WILL be back by season's end. dark. Next

MVPG is for real, and so are the Clippers. The 8-5 Clips are the sixth seed in the West, and look to make further jumps up the standings with three straight games coming up here against inferior opponents.
