No. 2 thing the LA Clippers need to do to sweep the Portland Trail Blazers again: Let Paul George take over

When I ask for Paul George to take over in this game, I don’t mean to have him take poor shots. I’m not even asking for anything, really.

That’s because I’m simply asking him to be exactly what he’s been so far this season.

So far this season, PG has been as aggressive as he can be, and it’s worked out perfectly for him.

Driving to the basket 16 times in our first game (more than his highest season average during his entire career), he showed he wasn’t afraid to be physical. He also was aggressive in his three-point shooting, taking 11 threes. Even better, he was very effective all around with this game strategy.

He hit 5 of his 11 threes, and 12 of his 23 field goal attempts in general for 29 points.

In our second game, he took even more shots, getting up to 25. He made 15 of them, and took even more threes, nailing 5 of them again. He scored an insane 41 points.

So the Clippers obviously should lean on George, and George is clearly already comfortable taking a high volume of shots. It’s worked this year, and needs to be the offensive focus again tonight and throughout our season series against the Blazers.
