LA Clippers: Terance Mann claps back to GM doubters with NSFW quote
By Evan Desai
Terance Mann was recently voted for by NBA GMs to be “most likely to have a breakout season” this year for the LA Clippers.
While I agree, it’s interesting that GMs are saying this when they wanted nothing to do with Mann in the 2019 Draft. Mann seems to agree with me on that. He dropped a pretty hilarious quote about the two-faced GMs who now seem to realize they missed out on the future star.

It truly is wild to think about how 47 players were taken above Terance Mann in the NBA Draft. Many GMs made big mistakes there, and Clipper Nation couldn’t be more thrilled to have made the right choice.
Terance Mann doesn’t need to pay attention to his former doubters as he continues to develop for the LA Clippers.
The LA Clippers believed in Terance Mann, and that’s the only thing that needs to be on his mind.
I like that Mann had this response. He ignored delusional NBA GMs in the draft process, and he’s going to ignore them now. The reason he’s outperforming all the expectations for him so far in his NBA career is because he’s ignored the noise, and locked in for the team that did believe in him.
Mann went crazy in the postseason last year, when the Clippers needed him most. When Kawhi Leonard went down, many counted us out. We were in a tied series against the number one seed in the West.
The Clippers responded by winning the next two games to close the Jazz out in six on the back of Mann. In Game 6, Mann put up 39 points on an insane 15 of 21 shooting. He nailed 7 of 10 three-point shots, and had two steals.
His performance in the postseason even prompted ESPN talking head Stephen A. Smith to suggest that the Clippers don’t even need Kawhi Leonard back. That’s obviously not true, as Leonard is already the best player in the Western Conference.
Mann does have an incredibly high ceiling, and having him develop this season to make up for Leonard being out is going to be massive. He’s going to keep proving those GMs wrong for passing up on him in 2019.
