The LA Clippers had a nice win in their first taste of preseason action last night, and Moses Wright showed the coaching staff a lot to like.

Wright proved that the Clips were smart to pick him up when the 2021 ACC Player of the Year went undrafted this year. He appeared to take it personally.

Poor Bol Bol. Wright seemed to take it all out on him:

Moses Wright showed why the LA Clippers made sure they’d at least sign him as a G-League option this year.

The LA Clippers signed Moses Wright to an Exhibit 10 deal this year, seeming to be interested in him joining the Agua Caliente Clippers of the G-League.

They had to have liked what they saw from that dunk yesterday, as well as what they saw in general.

In 17 minutes, he went 4 of 6 with 8 points and had a block on defense.

I like the idea of Wright playing in lineups with this squad. The 6’9″ forward has size as a wing and can help stretch the floor while putting in a little bit of a bigger body out there.

We’ll need to see the remainder of the preseason games to decide if Wright should be a full-time LA Clipper, but we at least know that he’ll be a good piece to develop as an AC Clipper in the G-League.

I don’t know that Wright can come into the NBA for Game 1 and start posterizing big men left and right, but the fact that he did it right away in the closest setting to an NBA game is certainly going to turn heads.

dark. Next. 3 players that will make or break this season

For the rookies, preseason is about proving potential and development to the coaching staff. Wright passed the test in Game 1.
