The LA Clippers have their first preseason game tonight, and we’re going to get our first taste of what this team may look like in game action.
The team has many returners, a star, and a deep bench filled with many players who fit our identity.
Unfortunately, not everyone may be around when the season starts on October 21st. A few guys are potentially on the bubble right now, as it’s going to be very difficult to make this championship-caliber roster.
No. 3 player on the LA Clippers roster bubble for 2021-2022: Isaiah Hartenstein
Isaiah Hartenstein was brought to the LA Clippers to compete for the third center spot with Harry Giles.
Hartenstein has been in this league for three years, and played his best basketball after he went to Cleveland during the season last year.
He put up 8.3 points per game, six rebounds per game, and 1.2 blocks per game. Hartenstein is coming into this season with a lot of momentum, and has a case to be that third center.
If he doesn’t snag that spot, he could end up not on the roster. We’re not a very big-heavy team. I personally also like Giles because the former first-round pick has the higher ceiling.
That being said, Giles wasn’t very good last year, and Hartenstein showed improvement. Look for this as an important battle in the preseason.
