No. 1 player that will make or break 2021-2022 for the LA Clippers: Kawhi Leonard and his health

I, and all LA Clippers fans already know how nasty Kawhi Leonard is going to be when he gets back.

He’s the best player in the Western Conference. The issue is, when will he have the chance to be that best player in the Western Conference?

We’ve heard good things about his recovery, but there’s still absolutely zero timetable that’s been given to us. Besides, positive reports are important, but they really only confirm that there hasn’t been a setback.

Even when we do get a timetable, it’s likely going to be very broad. This team proved last year that they can hang in there without Leonard. They literally got to the Western Conference Finals without him.

That being said, it remains to be seen on whether the Clippers can sustain this throughout a full season. As long as Leonard is back at 100% by the time the Clips make the playoffs, they will be winning the Western Conference.

We’re not sure that’s going to happen, however, and it goes to show how important Leonard is to this team. He remains the biggest X-Factor, just as we predicted when we signed him.
