No. 1 LA Clippers storyline that can’t be ignored this season: The team is still shorthanded

While many LA Clippers fans have high expectations for this team, including myself, it’s important to be patient as this year goes on.

Kawhi Leonard is currently not set to be ready for our opening game, and he likely won’t for the first few months of the year. It’s important to remember that the team isn’t going to be perfect without him.

We played so well without him in the playoffs last year, but it’s hard to do that over an extended period of time. We will be a good team without Leonard, but it may take us to have Leonard back and healthy for us to reach top contender status.

National analysts haven’t been respecting the Clippers this offseason, and likely won’t until Leonard gets back. If the Clippers ever experience some bumps in the road this season, it’s important for the fans to remember that better days are ahead with this team.

Leonard will be back eventually, and all we need to do is make sure we get into the playoffs so we can make that run once Leonard is 100%.
