No. 2 LA Clippers storyline that can’t be ignored this season: Ty Lue is only in his second year with the team

While LA Clippers’ Head Coach Ty Lue is very accomplished as a head coach in this league already, people need to remember that he’s only in his second year with our team. He’s also only 44 years old.

Regardless of how this season goes, Lue has many more years left in his career, and will have more than enough time to keep building this franchise.

Lue is competitive, and will want to win a championship now. I do too, but it’s also worth remembering that even if we face some hiccups on the way there this year, our window is nowhere near over.

This Clippers team will be competing for championships for years to come now that we have an elite head coach, the best player in the Western Conference signed for four more years, Paul George extended, and a developing superstar in Terance Mann waiting to be a part of a superstar big three with the Clips. Part of being a Clippers fan is about being excited for what we’re going to do this year, but also what we have in store for the future.
