No. 4 team in the Pacific Division: The Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors won’t miss the playoffs again, but they won’t be able to compete with the top three teams from last year.

Getting Klay Thompson back will be huge, and they’ll get him back eventually. James Wiseman will continue to develop, and the chemistry of the big three will be back.

However, Thompson isn’t Steph Curry. He’s a great player, and a star in this league. He’s not a superstar in this league.

He isn’t enough to go and take the Warriors from a play-in loss team to a Western Conference Finals team. We know for a fact that the Clippers and Suns can be Western Conference Finals teams, as they were last year. We know the Lakers loaded up with high-upside free agents and trade pieces in an offseason after they were better than the Dubs.

The injury excuse only goes so far when both LA teams and the Suns dealt with injuries to even better players than Thompson and still made it further than the Dubs. Give me the other three squads over Golden State.
