No. 2 best shooter on the LA Clippers roster: Paul George

Paul George shot a career-high 46.7% from the field last year, and continued to grow and gel into the Clippers offense.

He was an incredible 86.8% from the line, and was just 0.01% lower behind the three-point line than his career-best mark (41.1%).

He may not have shot the best from three in the postseason, but it’s important to understand the context. He was being smothered all game once Kawhi Leonard went out, as he was the only star on the court.

Now that he has that experience of being in this three-point shooting offense with a giant target all over his back, he’s going to be better moving forward.

George isn’t just a spot-up shooter, and can create off the dribble. Having underrated handles, PG knows how to create space.

What I like about PG is that we saw a lot of development in his confidence in his stroke this postseason. There were admittedly games where he wasn’t taking enough shots, but he seemed to always follow up those performances with a high volume of attempts.

There were multiple instances where he made that adjustment, and it showed that he has the confidence to keep shooting. It’s going to pay off with a bigger sample size, and he’s going to get those results next year.
