The No. 1 biggest Western Conference threat for the LA Clippers: The Phoenix Suns

To be the best the LA Clippers need to beat the best, and the best team from last season in the West was the Phoenix Suns.

The Suns are an interesting team because Paul, who is considered by many to be their best player, is of course getting older. We haven’t seen a real decline in his game, but he is getting older.

On the other hand, Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton are also getting older, and should continue in their upward trajectories.

They’re also an interesting team in the sense that they didn’t make a big splash this offseason. However, the Clippers, and most other teams in the West, didn’t either.

On the other hand, they acquired Landry Shamet to back up Devin Booker and be another shooter. They also acquired JaVale McGee to provide some much-needed big man depth in case Dario Saric gets hurt again.

They could be better next year, which means that they’ll be the top contender for the Clippers to knock off. Contrary to popular belief, however, the Clippers will also be better.

The Clips are still my pick to win the West, but they’ll have fierce competition from the Western Conference, as they do every year.
