No. 2 goal for Reggie Jackson to become an All-Star for the LA Clippers next year: Stay versatile

We applaud Reggie Jackson for his efforts as a point guard in the playoffs, but his playoff performance was also all about who he was on the wing when he needed to play well.

Whenever Patrick Beverley stepped into the same lineup as Jackson, Mr. June still performed.

Jackson looked outstanding as a two-guard, and was a quality two-guard during the regular season too. The Clippers traded for Eric Bledsoe this offseason, and if the two of them are ever in the same lineup, Jackson will be moved to the two-guard spot. Not because Bledsoe is the better player, but because he’s not very good on the wing.

Jackson can play really well on the wing, and does. If he can keep that up, it’ll be an attractive quality for All-Star voters.

Multiple All-Star guards from the Western Conference last year exceled at both of the guard spots, such as Devin Booker and Luka Doncic. If Jackson can improve at both positions, he’ll be able to add another major line to his All-Star resume.
