When the LA Clippers drafted Keon Johnson, it felt like they were going back in time and drafting a young Kawhi Leonard.

Johnson, who admittedly models his game after Leonard, is a long wing who’s a very polished defensive player who’s going to give the Clippers fast break opportunities.

No. 3 way for the LA Clippers to unlock Keon Johnson’s potential next season: Give him chances to play with vets

Truth be told, the LA Clippers have many players similar to Keon Johnson on the roster. They’ve got many long wings who are defensive-minded, and thrive in the fast break.

There are going to be so many opportunities for Johnson to get on the court with them, and learn right there with them. Even playing Johnson with a two-guard like Terance Mann could pay huge dividends, and he’s not even a veteran.

Bottom line is, there are a lot of great guards and forwards on this team who have plenty of experience on the wing, and can really get Johnson adapted to playing in this system.
