No. 1 way for the LA Clippers to unlock the potential of Reggie Jackson next season: Get to the playoffs
If the LA Clippers want to let Reggie Jackson feast next year, they’ll have to get back to the stage that he performs the best at. That’s the postseason, where Reggie Jackson earned the nickname of ‘Mr. June.’
Jackson went from scoring 10.7 points per game in the regular season to 17.8 in the playoffs. He went from shooting 45% in the regular season to 48.4% in the postseason.
He was clutch, and always got the Clippers a bucket whenever needed. It’s why many national analysts were worried that the Clippers wouldn’t be able to keep him.
It’s not even just last year. In the 2018-2019 regular season, he averaged 15.4 points per game and shot 36.9% from three. In the playoffs that year, he averaged 17.8 points per game and shot 42.9% from deep.
If he gets into the postseason, he’ll be putting up crazy performances again. He shines brightest under those lights. I know he’ll be having a big year and be able to help lead his team there.
If everyone else contributes, we’ll get a top four seed to the postseason again, and it’ll be just in time to see the best version of Reggie Jackson.
