The LA Clippers had a quiet free agency period this offseason.

I don’t blame them, as the Clippers already had a championship caliber roster as is, and this year also wasn’t a big year for free agency.

A lot of the biggest names in free agency weren’t going to realistically leave, and a lot had already been extended. As for next year, it’s a different story. I already see many big names in next year’s free agency as fits for this team.

No. 3 big time free agent for the LA Clippers to target next offseason: Jonas Valanciunas

The LA Clippers are likely going to be thin on centers coming into next offseason, and Jonas Valanciunas is a good one to have.

Since Valanciunas has been in Memphis, he’s been balling out. He’s put up 16.4 and 11.7 in his time with the Grizzlies. That rebounding can really help the Clippers, as they finished in the bottom half this year in rebounds per game.

Now, we obviously have to see how the team performs next year to make the final decision on Valanciunas. I’m just saying that the rebounding is likely not going to be significantly better this season. Serge Ibaka will be back soon, but even he didn’t rebound very well last year.

The Clippers need rebounding now, and likely will next offseason too.
