No. 1 goal for Marcus Morris Sr. next season: Make his first All-Defensive Team
Marcus Morris Sr. has been a great defensive player for the LA Clippers. He’s been a great defensive player for multiple teams.
Morris, however, has never made an All-Defensive team. Being selected as one of the ten best defensive players in basketball is tough, but I think it’s an attainable goal for Morris.
He’s already a guy that never shies away from any defensive assignments, and so it’s just about getting to that next level in handling those assignments.
The Kansas product doesn’t typically put up great defensive numbers, but the eye test has proven that he has his way on defense.
The Clippers got a lot of press last year with their Western Conference Finals run, so a lot of eyes were on Morris’ defense and should be again this year.
It’s a chance for him to prove that he does deserve to be an All-Defensive player, like many of his teammates already have.
This year is a chance for Morris to excel in general, as he’s going to get tons and tons of playing time again as a starter, and he’s healthy again.
