No. 1 goal for Paul George in 2021-2022 season: Absolutely shatter the shortsighted ‘Pandemic P’ narrative

Last postseason, Paul George did so many great things for the LA Clippers in postseason play.

Again, he finished in the top four of playoff performers in points (511) and rebounds (183). Keep in mind that he accomplished that without even getting another series like the teams in the Finals did.

He led the team to the Western Conference Finals without Leonard. Typical of NBA Twitter, however, trolls resorted to still referring to George as ‘Pandemic P,’ in reference to his nickname of ‘Playoff P.’

George just needs to keep his head down and continue to shatter the ‘Pandemic P’ narrative. This man literally averaged 26.9 points per game, 9.6 rebounds per game, 5.4 assists per game, and a steal per game in the postseason. Despite this, the trolls continue to harp on the hiccups that he has along the way, instead of the overall performance.

If George continues to build on what he really was last postseason, there’s going to be hardly any hiccups to even talk about. The ‘Pandemic P’ nickname won’t even be a thing at all anymore.

And if PG is going to take it to that level, then I don’t know if anyone can compete with this team once Kawhi gets back.

This season is going to be huge for PG. I know he’ll kill it, and he can absolutely hit any or all of these goals here in this upcoming season.
