Ranking the Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard and Paul George duo with the rest of the NBA

No. 8 duo in the NBA: Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray

We weren’t able to see a ton of this duo this season due to Jamal Murray’s season-ending injury that he faced, however we saw enough to put them in the top eight.

Nikola Jokic was obviously the MVP of this league. A center in Jokic who can do it all (26.4/10.8/8.3 stat line to go along with 1.3 steals) along with a point guard in Murray who puts up over 20 a game and can shoot over 40% from deep is a deadly duo. Jokic shot 38.8% from deep himself this season.

No. 7 duo in the NBA: Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert

While Ty Lue and the LA Clippers exploited Rudy Gobert’s defensive weaknesses in the postseason this year through perimeter shooting and smaller lineups, he was still the Defensive Player of the Year for the third time.

Donovan Mitchell on the other hand, has proven to be one of the brightest young stars in the game, and one of the best scorers in basketball. The two-time All-Star also continues to raise his game in the playoffs: scoring 33.9 points per game in these last two postseasons, on 48% shooting from the field and 46.4% from deep.
