No. 1 outcome LA Clippers fans should be thrilled about if it comes true: Ty Lue wins Coach of the Year award

The LA Clippers didn’t give Tyronn Lue the best shot to coach the team last year.

They gave him a great roster, but injuries really piled up. That being said, Ty Lue still managed a top four seed despite this:

"“Leonard missed 20 regular season games, Paul George was out for 18, Patrick Beverley missed 35, Marcus Morris went out for 15, and Ibaka was hurt for 31.”"

Despite leading the Clippers through this type of storm, Lue wasn’t even mentioned much when it came to the Coach of the Year Award in this league. The Clippers are going to have almost everybody back from injury when the season starts.

Therefore, if Lue wins a Coach of the Year Award (which he is capable of as one of the best coaches in the NBA), we will likely have an even better seed than even a top four slot.

If we’re a three seed or higher, we’re going to draw some very favorable matchups and will likely have Kawhi back by then.

If Lue wins a Coach of the Year award this year, we’re going to be a Conference winner.

We have a good shot either way, but if we can accomplish one of these three feats, we’re set.
